Curated

Located in Hanes Mall, Winston-Salem; Curated is a unique boutique and home decor store.  The design of the space is modeled after a time that once was.  Making use of reclaimed wood, white ship lap walls, copper accents and live succulents.  The space is designed to welcome customers and helps create a serene backdrop to the unique and curated finds found throughout the space.

The Tarnished Spoon

The Tarnished Spoon project focused on bringing a specific feel to a local coffee shop in downtown Winston-Salem.  The owners wanted an old world feel while maintaining the character and integrity of the Craftsman style bungalow.  The design was based off of Parisian bistros while maintaining that old world charm through the use of stone, wood, and heavy black accents.  While the color scheme is bright and vibrant to attract college students and create Insta-Worthy photos.  The space is well functioning and cozy.  The unique design and quirks create an impression and make the Tarnished Spoon a memorable space.

Finding Zen

Designing a space for healthcare workers to find peace and relaxation during their duties at Forsyth Medical Center; Finding Zen is a conceptual project that focuses on the overall design concept and allowed for little restraint in the creativity process. The design is based on the healing and relaxing nature of the world around us and is grounded on the fundamental belief that time in nature can relieve stress and improve one's mood.  This method of healing is especially important to those in the health care industry, where staff can work up to sixteen hour shifts and deal with heavy emotional stress.  The space is designed to feel as if one just walked outdoors into a thick forest and has stepped away from the stress of the hospital to find peace and relaxation.
