Safe Harbor Estates
Nestled among the beautiful flora and mountains of Maui, Hawaii sets an ADA compliant apartment complex called Safe Harbor Estates. The design of this one bedroom apartment focuses on creating a barrier free space that is both functional and beautiful. The space reflects the colorful and lush nature that can be found just outside and brings the feeling of a modern and comfortable space to the resident.
Broadmoor
This team project required us to work with our fellow classmates as well as Architectural students to create a small home that focused on sustainability and ADA guidelines. In working with the Architectural Team, our design team incorporated an overall cohesive design concept that allows the interior to reflect the overall exterior design. The interior space works to bring the outdoors in using natural and neutral elements and lush greenery. The interiors make use of light and airy materials which reflect the Mediterranean facade and bring an eclectic feel to each space.
Mid-Century Modern
Based on the principles of Mid-Century Modern design this living space makes use of natural light, high ceilings, low seating arrangements and clean streamlined furnishings and finishes. The mix of woods and metals are a modern take on the ever popular MCM and bring a feeling of warmth and casualness to the space.
Our Carolina Farmhouse
Nestled on forty-two acres of farmland in beautiful North Carolina sits a modern farmhouse with timeless appeal. This new construction home is a modification of " Mama Crovatt's House" a floor plan from Southern Living. It boasts large windows, board and batten siding, an open main living space, and a large wrap around porch. The home was designed with a neutral palette to allow the owners to slowly make it their own and curate a design atheistic that feels like home.
